As the temperatures plummeted to nearly -30 degrees and most of us began bundling up, we noticed something peculiar: many students were walking to and from their bus stops without simple things like hats and gloves. We reached out to several Richfield schools and confirmed that many students are in need of warm weather clothing and accessories at a rate the individual schools cannot keep up with.

In response, CCR is partnering with Richfield Schools for a cold weather drive. Through February, we’ll be collecting the following new or gently-used items in any size:

+ weatherproof gloves

+ hats, snow boots

+ jackets

+ snow pants

+ scarfs

+ kids sweatpants/leggings (size S-M)

Donations can be brought to CCR’s worship gatherings on Sunday mornings or to Transform Minnesota headquarters during regular business hours (8:30 am – 5 pm). Clothing will be collected each week and distributed to the schools to ensure students have what they need when they need it.
